Admission Process

To apply to the OT program, students submit the following:

  • Complete admission application packet
(Apply online or download and print* an OT application packet 116KB PDF)
Please note you will also need to submit supplemental forms A-D.
  • Personal interview with a faculty member
  • Official transcripts from all colleges and universities attended
  • TOEFL scores of at least 550 must be submitted by international students whose first language is not English

After all application materials are received, your file will be reviewed by a member of the Admission Committee to determine if you qualify for an interview.  At that time, a personal interview will be scheduled between the applicant and a member of the occupational therapy faculty.

Application Timeline:

  • Rockhurst undergraduate students beginning the program during their senior year should apply before beginning their junior year at Rockhurst.
  • Rockhurst undergraduate students NOT applying to begin the program during their senior year should apply before beginning their senior year.
  • Avila students should apply by June 1st of their junior year.
  • The Occupational Therapy Admissions Committee will begin reviewing all other applicants beginning July 15, with a program enter date of the following year.

The OT program employs a "rolling admissions" process, which means that applications are accepted throughout the year and are reviewed as they are received. Enrollment is limited and early application is encouraged. Meeting minimum requirements does not guarantee admission to the professional program. If you have questions during the application process, please contact the Department of Occupational Therapy or Cheryl Hooper in Graduate Admissions.
