Rues Scholarship
Jane Rues, EdD, OTR, FAOTA came to Rockhurst University in 1990, charged with developing a Master of Occupational Therapy Program.  The program she developed has graduated nearly 300 students in its first decade of existence, many of whom have left Rockhurst to become leaders in the profession.  The Rockhurst University Occupational Therapy Education program prides itself on developing reflective, life-long learners who become resourceful and productive practitioners who dedicate themselves to the service of others.  The Rues Family created the Rues Scholarship to recognize student achievement in these areas. This scholarship was first presented in 2005 and is awarded each spring to the applicant deemed most deserving by the awards committee. American Occupational Therapy Foundation (AOTF) Scholarships

Each year AOTF offers scholarships from the AOTF Scholarship Fund, the Assembly of Student Delegates, formerly ASCOTA and 22 State Occupational Therapy Association funds administered by the Foundation. Scholarships are offered to occupational therapy students at the associate, baccalaureate, post-baccalaureate certificate, professional master's, post-professional master's and doctoral degree levels.

Scholarships, ranging in value from $250 to $5,000, are available for occupational therapy students by applying to the American Occupational Therapy Foundation.

All applicants must be U.S. citizens, be members of the American Occupational Therapy Association, and be enrolled full-time if pursuing their first occupational therapy degree. Students in post-professional graduate programs may be part-time students.

Interested students may access the information and download application materials from the AOTF web site. We encourage you to apply. Our goal is to give away every scholarship dollar every year.
