Education Application Process
Here's a helpful application checklist:
- Submit a completed bachelor application (PDF) with the written essay. A minimum cumulative GPA of 2.75 is required to enter this program.
- Successfully pass all sections of the MoGEA, a Missouri mandated and administered examination of basic knowledge. Before you may register for any Education courses, you first must pass all sections of the MoGEA.
- Your adviser will help you understand the Missouri Department of Education's requirements for individuals pursuing teaching careers. In accordance with these requirements, undergraduate education students must achieve a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.75 as well as a 3.0 GPA in all education and content courses upon graduation.
Students pursuing a major in education need to apply and be accepted to both Rockhurst University and the Department of Education. You are strongly encouraged to meet with the Department of Education advisor before enrolling in any education course.
