Undergraduate Education Application Process

Apply to Rockhurst University's undergraduate education program in three easy steps:

  1. Submit a completed bachelor application (PDF) with the written essay. A minimum cumulative GPA of 2.75 is required to enter this program.
  2. Successfully pass all sections of the MoGEA, a Missouri mandated and administered examination of basic knowledge. You must pass all sections before registering for any education courses, and complete ED1320 and PY1000 with a grade of C or higher before applying.
  3. Once accepted, meet with your adviser to discuss the Missouri Department of Education's requirements for individuals pursuing teaching careers. In accordance with these requirements, undergraduate education students must achieve a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.75 as well as a 3.0 GPA in all education and content courses upon graduation.

Students pursuing a major in education need to apply and be accepted to both Rockhurst University and the Department of Education. A meeting with the Department of Education adviser is required before enrolling in any education course.
