Now is an excellent time to become an occupational therapist. According to the US Bureau of Labor Statistics, employment of occupational therapists is expected to increase 34% between now and 2016.

Welcome to the Department of Occupational Therapy Education

As an OT student at Rockhurst, you'll have the opportunity to contribute to the community's health and wellness, conduct research under the eye of a mentor, present findings at state and national meetings, manage and staff a student-run free health clinic and complete fieldwork assignments at clinical sites all across the country.

The Occupational Therapy Education Program accommodates multiple points of acceptance for interested students. For the Rockhurst undergraduate student, these include Freshman Pre-Admission, the Occupational Therapy Scholars Program and regular acceptance during the final year of undergraduate coursework. Post-baccalaureate students may be accepted at any time during the year for the next occupational therapy class.

Come for a campus visit and experience an atmosphere that is friendly, challenging, interactive and diverse.

Our comprehensive, fully accredited master of occupational therapy curriculum is presented in an exhilarating educational climate in the state-of-the-art Science Center. The program includes five semesters of course work plus 24 weeks of clinical residency. A new class enters every summer. Learn more about admission requirements and prerequisites.
