The Organizational Communication and Leadership major is designed for working students who prefer to attend classes in the evening. The program integrates a variety of courses in communication and leadership to sharpen your knowledge of human interaction and develop your skills in leading others in all types and at all levels of organizations.

The program can be completed in as few as two years, depending on the amount of credit hours you're able to transfer. Contact an academic advisor for more information.

About the Program
Organizational communication is the process of collaborating and coordinating meaning among human beings in order to achieve organizational goals. The Organizational Communication and Leadership major will immerse you in the theoretical and applied study of organizational structure and leadership and develop your oral communication and writing skills.

Successful leadership of contemporary organizations relies on thorough knowledge of the ways people organize themselves, how leaders lead organizations, and the nature of communication among leaders and members of organizations. In addition, this knowledge must be enacted through competent communication skills, both oral and written, in a variety of communication contexts. Coursework in this major is designed to provide you with opportunities to learn both the theory and the skills.
