More About Nonprofit Organizations
Organizations that are neither government nor business are often referred to as nonprofit organizations. These organizations, such as social service agencies, hospitals, environmental groups, colleges, museums, churches, art groups and youth agencies, comprise the nonprofit, voluntary or third sector. This sector continues to grow in both size and influence. In the United States, more than two million organizations, including more than 4,000 in Kansas City alone, exist and need educated and dedicated professionals to lead them.
