The University Chaplain supports the Ignatian heritage, Jesuit mission, and Catholic identity of Rockhurst University by

• Offering the Rockhurst community resources-sacramental ministry, spiritual direction, and Ignatian retreat direction-that are helpful in this spiritual and moral growth.
• Supporting the Rockhurst community in times of struggle, death, and illness, and by offering companionship in other spiritual questions and quests.
• Developing programs and initiatives which engage the wider Rockhurst community-alumni, board members, regents, and donors-in the understanding of the University's Ignatian heritage, Jesuit mission, and Catholic identity.
• Assisting the President by representing the University at civic or church events.
